NOW HIRING teacher's assistants and aides

Thank you for your interest in working at Cornerstone Kidz Preschool and Childcare. Our mission is to serve our community by providing a safe and secure environment, while teaching and directing the children in respecting those around them and their community; sharing with them the love of Jesus and biblical principles through living examples.  


We've developed an employment staff that embodies the core values as described in our mission:

Our teaching staff at Cornerstone Kidz Preschool and Childcare are not just adults with an interest in children. We collaborate with our church Cornerstone Christian Center and industry-based professionals to obtain highly-respected teachers in the field. 


The hiring process at Cornerstone Kidz Preschool and Childcare is as follows:

  • Step 1 – Phone Screening: Designed to determine the applicant's experience and qualifications applicable to the  position for which the applicant is applying.
  • Step 2 – First Interview: A face-to-face meeting with the Preschool Director.
  • Step 3 – Second Interview: A working interview in the class the applicant is applying for to determine if the applicant is a fit for our program.

 

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications: 

  • A strong faith-based life philosophy (attend a Bible believing Christian Church on a weekly basis)
  • CPR/ First Aid certification or the ability to earn it within six months of hire
  • Current state registration and fingerprint card
  • An ability to supply a complete criminal affidavit
  • A state and local background check
  • Proof of current TB Test

To be considered for a lead teaching position you must meet the following additional requirements: 
  • A high school diploma
  • A minimum age of 18 years
  • 2 years experience in a licensed preschool facility
  • Experience facilitating Bible lessons and lesson planning using a curriculum 

To be considered for an assistant teaching position you must meet the following additional requirements: 
  • A high school diploma
  • A minimum age of 18 years
  • 6 months experience in a licensed preschool facility
  • Experience facilitating Bible lessons using a curriculum 

To ensure that our teachers continually stay current with the latest teaching methods and techniques, all Cornerstone Kidz Preschool and Childcare faculty must participate annually in 18 hours of additional training and professional development.
